The woodstar has landed
Feb 26th: Finally, The Delphi Club Guide to the Birds of Abaco has arrived. Having travelled from the printers in Florence in Italy via Bologna, Leipzig, Brussels, Cincinnati, Miami and Nassau, the pallet has at last made it to Marsh Harbour.
This very beautiful book, featuring the endemic Bahama Woodstar hummingbird on the front cover, was written by club-member Keith Salvesen and designed by his wife Sally. It is a dazzling photographic tribute to the wonderful birdlife of the island. All photos were taken on Abaco itself, many by Delphi Club guests, and over 160 species are featured in this weighty 272-page tome.
Produced to very high standards by one of the world’s leading fine art printers, the book is published strictly as a limited edition of 600, only 500 of which will be sold. The remainder will be going to each of the local Abaco schools, to the many contributors and to a few dignitaries and national libraries.
For sale exclusively from the Club at $145.
