Spring weather, spring break?
Feb 16th: It may seem somewhat indelicate at present to report that the weather in Abaco has been little short of glorious for most of January and February, with temperatures consistently in the high 70s or low 80s farenheit, very little cloud and not much wind – i.e. perfect bonefishing conditions.
At a time when ice storms are affecting much of the US and horrendous storms and floods are trashing Britain and Ireland, it would be tactless to rub too much salt into wounds, not least because Abaco is not immune from weather issues, whether it be hurricanes or cool fronts and amazing electrical storms such as one that passed through last night.
So there’ll be no gloating here. Suffice it to say that it’s probably a lot better here than it is with you and it looks set to continue in benign mode.
Which brings me to highlight the fact that we still have a few gaps over the next three months. So if any of the following appeal to you, do get in touch:
* Feb 26 to Mar 10 – One room
* Mar 10-15 – Three rooms
* Mar 15-20 – One room
* Mar 30 to April 5 – Three rooms
* April 20-23 – Two rooms
* May 3-8 – Two rooms
* May 11-15 – Three rooms
For package prices, see http://delphi-bahamas.com/cms/docs/prices-delphi-bahamas/.
And for any last-minute bargain vultures out there who are able to respond at very short notice, we also have one superking-bed room available from now until Feb 24 for which we are willing to cut the cost of any package price by $100 per person per night.
Oh, and I should point out that the fishing has been very steady, with plenty of bonefish milling around – but not so many as to threaten the record-breaking catch of 58 bonefish to one boat on New Year’s day. Now that was exceptional….
